We are looking for a Junior DevOps Engineer with several years Azure and cloud technology stack experience to grow and maintain our Azure environment.

You’ll work closely with other members of the development team to get things done more efficiently to make their lives easier.

 

Who are You?

• You have at least 2 years of industry experience in a DevOps related position (ideally with Azure cloud services) working with the project team to deliver web solutions
• You have proven knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure’s cloud platform, specifically services related to web application hosting and architecture (such as App Service, App Plans, Application Gateway, Databases Services etc.)
• Your industry experience will include management / support of development environment tools including JIRA and GitHub, management (application deployment and administration) of Azure cloud platform, etc.
• You have an understanding of NoSQL database technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB
• You’re self-directed and prepared to take ownership and also enjoy working as part of a productive team
• Ideally you background will be a mix of Azure management and general experience working with integration teams

The position is a good staging point for moving into full-on DevOps role (or even Front/Backend Dev) in the future so it’s a great opportunity to set up the next phase of your career.

Who are You?

You’re the person who will help achieving product development objectives for our information management web application.  You’ll work closely with and take guidance from the Senior Developer/Team Leader.

• You are a senior full-stack developer with at least 5 years proven experience with ASP.NET Core and C#
• You will be working with MS Azure Cosmos DB (both the GraphDB and DocumentDB subsets);
• You are comfortable on the server side, writing controllers, services and repositories.
• On the client side you should have solid knowledge of JavaScript but may be less comfortable with jQuery and/or have experience with any of the advanced platforms (Vue, React or Angular)
• You should have significant deployment and Azure admin knowledge (not at the DevOp level but your knowledge should be solid)
• You should have extensive GitHub experience.
• It would be preferable if you had NoSql on Azure (any) exposure.

• You have 5+ years’ experience providing IT systems and network administration support within a small business environment
• You have experience with managing cloud servers & services and subsequent security, predominantly within Azure & Digital Ocean
• You are competent at providing support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, Office 365, Azure Active Directory, Azure and SQL database administration
• You are able to manage the maintenance and provisioning of Desktop & Server hardware and software deployment including updates
• You are competent with Meraki & Cisco Products, including site to site VPN and remote access (Meraki Client VPN) & Layer 3 Switching; Antivirus & Updates and general maintenance activities
• You have exposure with WordPress & MYSQL, Plesk & Cloudflare based products

Technical competence and a positive attitude meaning your peers will enjoy working with you
You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with excellent written and verbal communication
You are a self-starter who can work with minimum supervision
