Introduction To External Users

External Users are Kradle users that exist outside of your account.

External Users can be searched for and added to your list of Konnect connections using invitations. Once an invitation has been accepted, a connection is made between the external user and your account, allowing for calls to be made and meetings to be scheduled.

   Note: to add an External User both your and the External User’s Kradle Konnect account need to be set to Public.

Adding An External User

Part 1 – Making Your Kradle Account Public

  1. Log into your Kradle account
  2. Select Admin | Account Management from the Kradle menu to open the Account Management blade.
  3. Click the Settings tab.
  4. Scroll down the blade and click the “This Account Is Currently Private” text to toggle your account to Public.
  5. A warning will appear detailing “After saving your changes, you must log in again for those changes to take effect.”
  6. Finally, click the Save icon Save Icon.
  7. Log out of your account and then log back in to see the changes.

PART 2 – Making Your Konnect Profile Public

  1. Log into your Kradle account.
  2. Click the Konnect icon Konnect Video Conferencingto load the Konnect tab in your browser.
  3. Within the Konnect navigation menu, click My Konnect .
  4. Ensure you are viewing the My Profile tab.
    Note: If you cannot see the My Profile tab you will need to complete all the steps listed in Part 1 – Making Your Kradle Account Public, including logging out of your account.
  5. Click the text “My Profile is currently Invisible” to toggle your profile to Visible.
  6. Click the Save icon Save Icon.
  7. Close the Konnect tab and log out of your Kradle account and then log back in to see the changes.

PART 3 – Finding & Adding An External User

  1. Log into your Kradle account.
  2. Click the Konnect icon Konnect Video Conferencingto load the Konnect tab in your browser.
  3. Within the Konnect navigation menu, click My Konnect .
  4. Navigate to the My Profile Konnect tab.
  5. Click the User Search tab.
  6. You will be shown fields that you can use to search for other Kradle users.
    Note: only users with their Kradle Account and Konnect Profile set to visible will be shown in search results.
  7. Once you have entered the fields you want to search, click the Search For External Users Icon.
  8. If a user is found (or multiple users), they will be shown under Search Results.
  9. To add a user to your External Contacts, click the Create New Message Icon next to their name.
  10. You will now be shown an area where you can customize your invitation message.
  11. Once ready, click the Send icon.
  12. The External Contact will now be sent an invitation for them to accept or decline your invitation to connect.

  Note: until the External Contact accepts your invitation, they will not be shown in your Konnect My Connections list.

Once an External Contact has accepted an invitation, you must Refresh the page to see your new contact within your My Connections list.

Removing An External User

  1. Log into your Kradle account.
  2. Click the Konnect icon Konnect Video Conferencingto load the Konnect tab in your browser.
  3. Within the Konnect navigation menu, click My Meetings .
  4. Select the External User you wish to retire within the Other Accounts section.
  5. A pop-up box will appear, to remove the External User, click the Retire button.

Introduction To External Users

External Users are Kradle users that exist outside of your account.

   Note: to add an External User both your and the External User’s Kradle Konnect account need to be set to Public.

Adding An External User

Part 1 – Making Your Kradle Account Public

  1. Log into your Kradle account
  2. Select Admin | Account Management from the Kradle menu to open the Account Management blade.
  3. Click the Settings tab.

  8. If a user is found (or multiple users), they will be shown under Search Results.
  9. To add a user to your External Contacts, click the Create New Message Icon next to their name.
  10. You will now be shown an area where you can customize your invitation message.
  11. Once ready, click the Send icon.
  12. The External Contact will now be sent an invitation for them to accept or decline your invitation to connect.

  Note: until the External Contact accepts your invitation, they will not be shown in your Konnect My Connections list.

Once an External Contact has accepted an invitation, you must Refresh the page to see your new contact within your My Connections list.
