WORKING WITH LINKS

Overview

In a Kradle data model, a Node stores information and Links represent relationships between connected Nodes.

info    Your permission settings may result in some menu icons not being visible.

Create A Link

  1. Select Data Visualizer | Node Builder from the menu to open the Node Builder blade.
  2. Select the Links tab.
  3. Select the Add New Link icon and enter the following:
    • Name for the Link
    • Line Style for the Link (Solid, Dashed or Dotted)
    • Line Weight for the Link (1 = thin, 10 = thick)
    • Color for the Link using either the colored swatches or custom color picker
  4. Click the Save icon.
  5. The new Link will be displayed within the Links pane.

Edit A Link

  1. Select Data Visualizer | Node Builder from the menu to open the Node Builder blade.
  2. Single click the Link name you intend to edit.
  3. Edit Link details as required.
  4. Click the Save icon.

Delete A Link

  1. Select Data Visualizer | Node Builder from the menu to open the Node Builder blade.
  2. Single click the Link name you intend to delete.
  3. Click the Delete icon to delete the Link.

info  If there are Node(s) connected by the Link you wish to delete, the Delete function is disabled. The Link Count indicates how many nodes are connected by that specific Link.

The Link count must be zero (0) before a Link can be deleted.

Create A Link

  2. Single click the Link name you intend to delete.
  3. Click the Delete icon to delete the Link.

info  If there are Node(s) connected by the Link you wish to delete, the Delete function is disabled. The Link Count indicates how many nodes are connected by that specific Link.
